Climate model data come from the following 4 models: ![]() Here I examine the relationship between SST and TC intensity using observed and climate model data from the 1979–2010 time period. If we want to use climate models to understand the future impacts of rising SSTs on TC intensity, we must first make sure that these models are able to reproduce the historical relationship between TC intensity and SST. How well do climate models simulate the statistical relationship between TC intensity and sea surface temperatures (SST)? Note that many of these studies use global climate models (GCMs) to make predictions about the effects of climate change on TC activity. Given the destruction caused by hurricanes, many people are asking how climate change (e.g., warming sea surface waters) might affect TC activity. I believe that my experience, skills, and passion for content design make me an excellent fit for this role, and I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to Dropbox's mission. We know that tropical cyclones (TCs – including hurricanes, tropical storms, typhoons, and cyclones) can devastate coastal communities: I am excited to join Dropbox as a Virtual First company and to work with a team of talented individuals to help build intuitive, delightful products. ![]() I am also familiar with design tools such as Figma and have completed coursework in user experience and content strategy. I have submitted two writing samples with my application, including a personal statement and a sample demonstrating my understanding of writing for the web.
